Arpita Khan Sharma (her new name according to her Twitter profile) was loaded under a pile of presents sent to her by dozens of relatives and friends. According to a close friend of hers, we have exclusively learnt that amid all that came wrapped in glitter, there was something that was over-shining everything else. It was an emerald ring gifted to the newly wed by singer Daler Mehndi whose brother Mika was the wedding singer at Falaknuma Palace for the big fat Bollywood wedding.
The bride was gifted this ring on her Haldi ceremony in Mumbai, a day before she embarked for Hyderabad where the rest of the ceremonies and the nuptials were conducted. From what we hear, Arpita was overwhelmed by Daler Mehndi’s large hearted present.
