Dalip Tahil REFUTES Reports Of Jaya Prada Slapping Him After He Lost Control During A Rape Scene In Aakhree Raasta; Says, ‘Never Shared A Screen With Her’
Dalip Tahil has reacted to a baseless speculation surrounding his controversy with Jaya Prada
After years of speculation, veteran actor Dalip Tahil has finally spoken out about rumours and speculations surrounding his 1986 film Aakhree Rasta. For a long time, it was speculated that Jaya Prada had slapped the actor after he lost control while shooting a rape scene for the Amitabh Bachchan starrer.
In a recent interaction with Bollywood Hungama, the 70-year-old actor opened up about the same. Taken aback by the reports and accusations, he shared that he has been reading about such reports for a long time. He said, "I have been reading over a period of time that I have done a rape scene with Jaya Prada. It says that I got carried away, and then she slapped me. It keeps coming on my Google alert." Taking this opportunity to clarify, what had actually happened, Dalip revealed he never shared the screen with the actress for the movie, which he wanted to. Having acted in more than 100 films, he expressed that he would like the person who started the rumour to show his said scene. He said, "Let me clarify that I have never shared screen space with Jaya Prada ji. I was keen to do so but never got the chance. No such scene ever happened. I have no animosity against the person writing it. I’d like this person to show me this scene. Now on social media, people are creating situations that probably never existed in the first place. Imagine, such a scene never happened and it’s being reported."
For the unversed, the reports on the rumour suggest that initially, the actor had refused to do a rape scene with Prada, but after being threatened by the producers that they would ruin his career, he complied to do the scene where he lost control and was slapped by the actress.
