Yesterday morning, we were hit with the news that Aditya Chopra's Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge had suddenly been pulled off Maratha Mandir in Mumbai.
The film had been running in this theatre for more than 1000 weeks, but of late the collections had taken a nosedive.
This morning, Maratha Mandir has backtracked on its decision.
The film's producers Yash Raj Films and the theatre owner Manoj Desai had a long meeting last night.
A source says, "The two parties decided that the end to such an iconic film should not be so abrupt. It would be better if the public is informed in advance about its last date."
DDLJ's last show in Maratha Mandir will now be on Thursday, February 26.
