Bollywood’s King Shah Rukh Khan is making his comeback with Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film Pathan alongside Deepika Padukone. The pictures of SRK-Deepika that went viral from the sets have already left fans excited. While the makers want to have the best actors on board for the movie, they have now roped in Ashutosh Rana to reprise his role of RAW joint secretary Colonel Sunil Luthra from Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War.
According to the Mid-Day report, the makers of Pathan-- Aditya Chopra and Siddharth Anand came up with the idea to have Ashutosh Rana on board for the movie and want him to reprise his role from War in Pathan as well.
The daily quoted a source as saying, “Ashutosh played RAW joint secretary Colonel Sunil Luthra in Hrithik Roshan’s War [2019]. It was Adi and Siddharth’s idea to have the actor reprise his role in Pathan. The actor shot some important sequences with Shah Rukh and Dimple at Yash Raj Studios in Andheri, a few days ago. It is heard that Dimple and Ashutosh’s characters will mastermind the mission that will see the protagonist lock horns with John, who plays the baddie."
Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia will be seen in the roles of senior intelligence officers in the upcoming espionage. Notably, Salman Khan will also be seen making a cameo appearance as Tiger in Pathan with Shah Rukh. The highly-awaited espionage thriller will mark SRK-Deepika’s fourth outing together after delivering hits like 'Om Shanti Om', 'Chennai Express' and 'Happy New Year.'
The Dilwale star was last seen in 2018 released Zero with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
