With her sheer hard work and acting prowess, Deepika Padukone has emerged herself as one of the leading actresses in Bollywood with a filmography that includes her stellar performances. Not only she has created a league of herself in acting, but she is one of the most fashionable actresses in B-town. The actress never ceases to experiment with different styles of outfits and fashion but sometimes she gets under the troller’s radar and faces sharp criticism. Deepika’s latest photoshoot ‘post’ has received massive flak on social media.

The Piku actress was featured on the cover of the famous American women’s magazine ‘Allure’ for their April edition. Her pictures from the photoshoot are nothing but breathtaking. Deepika aces every outfit like a boss lady ticking all the boxes of beauty and perfection. The April edition of Allure magazine highlights her impressive career from her debut, Om Shanti Om, to her latest released Gehraiyaan. Sharing a carousel post on her Instagram, she captioned it, "From being made to feel like a person of colour for as long as I can remember to making it to the cover of one of the world’s most prominent beauty magazines, it has been an arduous and uphill journey of learning, unlearning, growth and evolution." While her fans including her husband Ranveer Singh cannot get enough of her sensuous beauty, a certain section of people has reacted differently. Several Twitter users criticized Deepika for her take on skin colour.


A user questioned her on Twitter. “What does she want to tell? That being called as a person of colour is an insult? And she is a white?,” Another commented  "Aiyyooo she was bron to a famous father,a model and then a Bollywood star. Still playing the victim card for an international magazine! One user went further and said, "She really needs a therapy #deepikapadukone."

Well, that’s harsh. However, there were others who extended their support to the actress and re-interpret her take.


Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika is currently shooting in Spain with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham for her upcoming film ‘Pathaan.’
