Sunday night Deepika Padukone and Boney Kapoor unveiled a book on the late legendary actor of the Indian cinematic world, Sridevi.  The book was unveiled at the literature festival held in Delhi; everyone present at the event was nostalgic. While all those present spoke about the diva’s aura and her success on the celluloid, Deepika Padukone walking us down the memory lane, revealed about the topics she discussed with the eternal diva. Spilling the beans on the personal bonds the Padmavaat actress shared with Sridevi, Padukone told all about the last conversation she had with Sridevi.

Shedding light, the actress shared how both these beauties being from South Indian culture, majorly bonded on those ground and also sometimes went on to discuss things including issues pertaining to their domestic help. She said, “Maybe somewhere the South Indian connect. So much so that my last conversation with her was about staff issues at home. That’s the relationship we shared.” She also mentioned being extremely fond of Sridevi and remembered the times when the legendary actress had praised her on personal messages, post watching her movies. Titled Sridevi: The Eternal Screen Goddess, the book is written by Satyarth Nayak. Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor was all teary-eyed on this occasion and Dippy was seen consoling him. Yet another actress of Bollywood, who penned her thoughts for the English Vinglish actress was, Kajol.

The Helicopter Eela actress has penned the foreword for the biography, confirming of the same she said, “I have grown up watching Sridevi’s superstardom on film-sets and her magic on the big screen. She is an institution of acting and will forever remain my most favourite icon. So happy Penguin gave me this opportunity to write this foreword."





Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, leaving the entire nation in a state of shock.
