In the Bollywood drug case, Deepika Padukone and her former manager Karishma Paraksh’s name reportedly came into the limelight after Rhea Chakrabroty’s manager Jaya Saha confessed their names to Narcotics Control Bureau. The Bajirao Mastani actress had to stop the shoot of Shakun Batra’s next midway and return to the city for NCB’s questioning. In the recent development, NCB told the Court that they won’t take any ‘coercive action’ against Deepika’s manager Karishma Prakash till November 7.
Bombay High Court is set to pronounce verdict on Karishma Prakash’s anticipatory bail plea, today. According to a report in Times Of India, HC will hear the final argument today. Recently, Karishma was interrogated by NCB, as they continue to probe the drug nexus case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. During their recent interrogation, the prosecution told court that the Narcotics officials won’t take any ‘coercive action’ – such as arrest – against her till the next date of hearing. The hearing had been adjourned till November 7 by Judge G B Gurao.
Earlier, NCB raided Karishma’s residence where they reportedly seized hashish and bottles of CBD Oil. Dippy’s former manager Karishma had submitted her resignation to Talent management company KWAN.
KWAN had then issued a statement that read, “Karishma Prakash tendered her resignation on 21st of October with immediate effect and it was accepted. She now has nothing to do with KWAN or with any of the artists that the agency represent including Deepika Padukone. The ongoing investigations are on Karishma Prakash as an individual . We would request media houses and reporters to incorporate this fact while reporting on this issue.” (ALSO READ: Deepika Padukone’s Manager Karishma Prakash RESIGNS From KWAN Talent Agency, Has Been ‘Untraceable’; NCB Issues Fresh Summons)
