Social media is buzzing with DeepVeer’s wedding updates and pictures. This morning, the star couple left for actress’ hometown, Bangalore, where they are all set to throw a reception party. The newlyweds were snapped at Mumbai airport and that’s when we got a closer and clearer look at Deepika’s mangalsutra. The actress, who was dressed in an off-white anarkali, paired a heavy dangler with her mangalsutra to accessorize her look.

We wonder if Deepika too has a story behind her mangalsutra like Sonam Kapoor did. For those unaware, Sonam designed her mangalsutra herself and it had certain significance. Mrs Ahuja’s mangalsutra had the symbols of both of their sun signs in it.
Usheeta Rawtani, who had executed Sonam’s mangalsutra, had taken to social media and posted its pictures revealing details. She captioned the picture, “Congratulations on your wedding @sonamkapoor & @anandahuja. A mangalsutra is a sacred necklace that a groom ties around a brides neck in an Indian wedding ceremony. This one was especially designed by the bride (@sonamkapoor) herself and executed by us. It has symbols of both their star signs. Hers being Gemini (on the left) and his Leo (on the right) these are complimented by a Solitaire in the centre.”
