On Instagram, Deepika Padukone re-posted the teaser video of the show Mega Icons, shared on the official Instagram account of National Geographic. The teaser video features Deepika Padukone, filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, and Ranveer Singh. In the video, Ranveer said, “She was going through some kind of emotional turmoil that perhaps even she was not aware of. And it kept evolving the performance in her. It started coming out in her performances.”
According to a report in the IndianExpress, Ranveer Singh also addressed wife Deepika Padukone’s battle with depression and said, “She had a blackout and she had fallen very suddenly and when she came back to her senses, she couldn't stop bawling. It was very very scary.” Ranveer revealed how Deepika had a blackout once and mentioned how it was ‘very very scary’.

Meanwhile, in the teaser, Deepika also talks about how the 2012 film Cocktail brought about a big change in her career. On the other hand, Padukone’s Cocktail director Imtiaz Ali also opened up about the actress. Imtiaz Ali said that Deepika is the only actor who has shown a massive amount of improvement during her journey in Bollywood.
