Deepika Padukone’s Name Emerges In Alleged Drug Chats: Indian Olympic Association VP Sudhanshu Mittal Calls It ‘Disturbing’

The Narcotics Control Bureau is investigating a drug case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput death. After Rhea Chakraborty named Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and fashion designer Simone Khambatta, Bollywood’s top actress Deepika Padukone and her manager Karishma Prakash’s alleged drug-chats emerged. Recently Times Now accessed SSR's talent manager Jaya Saha’s WhatsApp chats. Jaya was allegedly a part of multiple drug chats. Not only to SSR and Rhea, but Jaya also used to supply drugs to many Bollywood fraternity people. Jaya also named filmmaker Madhu Mantena in drug-case.
As Deepika Padukone’s name in the alleged drug-case has shocked one and all, Senior BJP leader and the Vice President of Indian Olympic Association, Sudhanshu Mittal has reacted to the same. NCB accessed Jaya’s chat with Deepika from 2017 where she allegedly asked for hashish. On seeing her name emerging in drug-related chat, Sudhanshu Mittal called it shocking and said the youth of this country looks up to the Bollywood stars as their ideals.
Speaking to Times Now Mittal said, “It is very shocking and disturbing. The youth of this country looks up to the Bollywood stars as their ideals, as their icons, and if such is the message they are going to get, that they are all indulging in drugs, I think it’s very sad.”

“I am more particularly disturbed about the name of Deepika [Padukone] coming in. She is the daughter of a very illustrious father, Prakash Padukone, who, till date remains one of the greatest heroes of Indian sports. The man was impeccable in his sportsmanship. In his characteristics as a sportsman and a human being, he is revered. His daughter being linked to the drug trade – for sportspersons – it’s particularly disturbing. I think the film industry needs to realise that they have a social responsibility for their good conduct,” he added further.
