The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is currently probing the alleged drug nexus of Bollywood, following the sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The NCB kick-started its investigation after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) shared evidence of SSR’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty’s use and dealing with drugs. In connection to the drug case, celebrities Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, and Shraddha Kapoor were recently questioned by the NCB. As these Bollywood bigwigs came under the NCB scanner, read on to know how their families reportedly reacted to the news.
Many have been wondering what the reaction of Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, and Shraddha Kapoor’s families would be having after understanding that they have been summoned by the NCB. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, a source revealed that Ranveer Singh met with a team of lawyers at their home, who helped Deepika prepare for the NCB questioning. The source in the report was also quoted saying that both of Deepika and Ranveer’s families are firmly behind the actress in the issue. Apart from that, reportedly, this entire debacle has got the couple closer and the Gully Boy has just been more protective and affectionate towards his wife. Ranveer was also clicked flying to Goa to accompany his wife back home and was praised for standing by her side.
On the other hand, Shraddha Kapoor’s family has maintained their distance from the entire issue all this while. Neither the Street Dancer 3D actress nor her family members were clicked or spotted anywhere after the controversy. Earlier, Shraddha was spotted during Ganesh Chaturthi as she bid farewell to Bappa with her mom and other family members. However, after Shraddha was questioned by the NCB, some media reports claimed that her father, veteran actor Shakti Kapoor was also summoned.

Speaking of Sara Ali Khan’s family, according to a video report in the Times of India, her dad Saif Ali Khan refused to help the actress in the Bollywood drug probe. Sara’s family’s reactions have perhaps been the harshest as Saif also reportedly lashed out at his ex-wife Amrita Singh over the issue and blamed her for it. As per the report, Sara Ali Khan’s dad distanced himself from everything by flying to Delhi with wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and son Taimur Ali Khan. While the Kedarnath actress did not get any help from her dad, her grandmother, Sharmila Tagore reportedly stepped in to help her clear her name. Meanwhile, so far, the NCB is still investigating the alleged drug nexus of Bollywood and Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, Dharma Productions’ ex-staffer Kshitij Prasad and others have been arrested by the agency and remanded to judicial custody.
