Deepika Padukone Sat On Ranveer’s Lap While Filming Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Reveals Gulshan Devaiah; Says, ‘Wahan Pe Notice Kiya Godi Mein Baithi Hai Yeh
Gulshan Devaiah revealed he noticed Deepika Padukone sitting on Ranveer’s lap on the sets of Ram-Leela
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are one of the mushiest couples in Bollywood. The duo dated for nearly six years before getting married in 2018. DeepVeer’s love story started on the sets of their first film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela as they came closer while shooting for the film. In a recent interview, their co-star Gulshan Devaiah, who played Bhavani in the film, shares a surprising revelation about their love story on the sets.
Speaking with a leading daily, the actor revealed that he did not notice anything during the first schedule of the film but when Deepika and Ranveer shot in Udaipur for the second schedule he saw a strong chemistry in them. Gulshan went on to reveal that he was left shocked when he saw Dips sitting on Ranveer’s lap. He was quoted as saying, “Wahan pe notice kiya, arey godi mein baithi hai yeh, kya ho gaya yeh. Humne toh notice hee nahi kiya tha guru. Yeh kab ho gaya. Gaana-waana song sequence do-teen karwaye they, tab toh kuch nahin dikha humein, aake apna kaam karke chali jaati thi.”
Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and it narrated the crossed romance between the two eponymous lovers from two gangster families, who fall in love with each other but get separations due to their family’s rivalry for centuries. Ram-Leela was a blockbuster at the box office as it minted over Rs. 220.58 crore in its theatrical run and emerged as the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of the year.
Deepika and Ranveer later teamed up for Bhansali's magnum opus films Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat and both were hit at the ticket window.
Meanwhile, Gulshan Devaiah has joined Janhvi Kapoor and Roshan Mathew in Ulajh and is currently in London shooting for Sudhanshu Saria’s directorial. Apart from this, he also has the crime thriller Guns & Gulaab with Dulquer Salmaan in the pipeline.
