Deepika Padukone Trolled For Her Posts On Depression After Sushant Singh Rajput's Demise; Netizens Trend #RepeatAfterMe On Twitter
It was on June 14 that Sushant Singh Rajput left for his heavenly abode, leaving everyone in shock. The actor was reportedly found hanging in his apartment and depression was being speculated as the reason behind his alleged suicide. Reacting to the same, Deepika Padukone, who herself has been a survivor of depression, took to social media and shared a streak of posts in order to spread awareness about mental health and its importance. The actress also posted a streak of 'repeat after me' on mental health. Fast forward to now, Sushant's death has been labelled as a planned murder by millions of people due to a lot of theories that are being shared on the internet. As a consequence of all the outrage, the case has now been handed over to CBI by the Supreme Court.

Amid all this, the Chhapaak actress is now being brutally trolled on social media for her earlier posts on depression. As per angry netizens, Deepika shouldn't have diagnosed Sushant's mental illness on Twitter without any conclusion of his investigation. They further bashed the actress for not writing a word on Sushant's demise. A user wrote, "Deepika is a depression expert as she suffered a depression bout a decade ago. Similarly I'm a wildlife expert as I suffered a wild monkey bite in class IV. Repeat after me, monkey bite is real. Tell me what expert you became after what you suffered. Use hashtag #RepeatAfterMe."

Someone else tweeted, "Self proclaimed mental health expert #Deepika tried very hard to push depression theory right after Sushant's death even without waiting for investigation to conclude and she is hiding now Bollywood is full of fake people. #RepeatAfterMe #depression."

Yesterday, Kangana Ranaut, too, slammed Deepika for this very reason. A tweet from her team's account read, "If @deepikapadukone says she suddenly got depressed for a break up which happened 10 years ago, we believe her so give me and Sushant same respect if I say I am not mentally ill or if Sushant’s father says he wasn’t mentally ill believe us also na. Why you forcing illness on us?"
