In a significant development in connection to the alleged drug nexus of Bollywood, according to reports in ANI, Dharma Productions’ ex-staffer Kshitij Ravi Prasad, who was arrested by the NCB in the ongoing probe, has been granted bail by the special NDPS court

Dharma Productions’ Ex-Staffer Kshitij Ravi Prasad Granted Bail By Special NDPS Court In Drug Probe-REPORT
Since the past few months now, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been investigating the alleged drug nexus of Bollywood, following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. In the ongoing drug probe, several names cropped up and many got under the NCB scanner for their alleged involvement. As the agency detained a few for interrogation, Dharma Productions’ ex-staffer Kshitij Prasad was arrested in September. According to the latest reports, Kshitij Ravi Prasad has been granted bail by the special NDPS court.

ANI reported that Kshitij Ravi Prasad was granted bail in connection with the drug case. As per the reports, he was asked to furnish a personal bond of Rs 50, 000  for his bail. Apart from this, Prasad has also been ordered to deposit his passport with the officials, to ensure that he does not leave the country until the next orders from the court. On Twitter, the report read, “Dharma Productions former executive producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad granted bail by Special NDPS court today in connection with a drug case. He has to furnish a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and deposit his passport for bail.”

Kshitij Ravi Prasad was taken into custody by the NCB on September 26. He was granted bail after nearly two months in judicial custody. Before his arrest, Prasad was also interrogated by the agency. Reportedly, the NCB had searched his Versova residence and found a small quantity of weed.


Meanwhile, it was recently that comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa were arrested. They were later granted bail by the court. Actor Arjun Rampal, his girlfriend Gabriella Demetraides, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and a few other B-Town celebrities were also questioned.
