Dharmendra REVEALS How He Ended Up Working In 'Saazish' With Saira Banu: 'She Happily Agreed, Hum Kuch Na Keh Sake'
Dharmendra recently shared how he ended up working with Saira Banu in Saazish
Dharmendra is one of the most active celebrities on social media. The veteran actor keeps sharing throwback photos from sets to family moments on Instagram and Twitter all the time. On Wednesday, Dharmendra shared a song from his film Saazish on Twitter and shared an interesting anecdote with it.
He wrote, "Friends, I never wanted to do this film. So I asked the producer to go and sign Saira, very difficult to sign her those days. But Saira happily agreed and told me 'Dharma, I did it for you'. So hum kuchh na keh sake. We shot this song in Hong Kong."
The song 'Wo Bade Khusbnaseeb Hote Hain' from Saazish shows the veteran actor riding a bike through the roads of Hong Kong. Saira, on the other hand, is seen riding a pillion as they go around the city singing the song. Directed by Kalidas J, Dharmendra essayed the role of a car racer but was later revealed to be an undercover agent. Saira Banu played the role of a beauty pageant winner in the film. Both won hearts with their chemistry. The movie was released in 1975.
On the work front, Dharmendra will be seen in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. It also stars Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
Previously, in an interview with Bombay Times, Dharmendra had opened up working with Ranveer Singh and said, "Ranveer is a darling. Mujhse jab bhi milta hai buss lipat jaata hai. He holds my hand and refuses to let go. I really like him. He is very sweet. He is so good with his performance. I must say... he is a versatile actor."
The veteran actor had also opened up about reuniting with Jaya Bachchan in RARKPK. He had said, "Jaya ji bohot dino baad set pe mili. We shared a lot of memories from our film Guddi. We have a blast on the sets."
