Did Rhea Chakraborty Use Her Mother's Phone To Make Drug Calls?

The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Rhea Chakraborty on September 8 while probing the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Rhea then moved to magistrate court and sessions court to apply for bail after she was awarded 14-days of judicial custody. However, her bail pleas were rejected by both the courts. While she remains to be lodged in Byculla jail, a lot of reports about what Rhea revealed to NCB are coming to fore. Recently, Times Now reported that Rhea made use of her mother's phone to make drug related calls. However, NCB deputy director has clarified on the same.

As per ETimes, NCB's deputy director KPS Malhotra has shared a statement in which he has clarified upon the reports stating that Rhea used her mom's phone. It reads, "Few journalists are asking that whether Rhea used to make any contraband related calls from her mom’s phone. The same is not verified and not based on any facts of the investigation."

Apart from Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty too has been arrested by the NCB and is currently lodged in Taloja jail. The NCB came into picture after the Enforcement Directorate reportedly found some proofs against Rhea and friends allegedly dealing in narcotics. It is reported that in her statement, Rhea has confessed that she used to procure drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. It is also reported that the actress has given out a 20-page long statement and even revealed the names of some top Bollywood celebrities who consume drugs.
