Did You Know Akshay Kumar Wanted To Do MS Dhoni: The Untold Story? The Director Had Politely Refused Due To THIS Reason
Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput went from the small screen to Bollywood, and starred in various versatile roles, in his career span of seven years in the film industry. His debut television show was Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, after which he was seen in Pavitra Rishta. In 2013, he made his Bollywood debut with the film Kai Po Che, and his performance was praised by many. After that, he starred in various other films, however, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story remains one of his most notable works. But, did you know, Akshay Kumar was initially keen on doing the film?

Sushant Singh Rajput brilliantly essayed the titular role in M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story and also went through a lot of training to prepare for the role. He had portrayed it with such excellence; we cannot imagine anyone else playing the role in the film. However, Akshay Kumar had been keen on taking up the role and according to India Today, Akshay had revealed in an interview that he had asked director Neeraj Pandey to consider him. However, the director politely refused.

Apparently, he was refused because Akshay Kumar did not look like Dhoni, and hence, would perhaps not have been the apt choice for the role. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story did well at the box-office, and went on to collect over Rs 133 crore.

Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14, has sent shock waves through India. He was found dead in his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. While the post mortem report said that Sushant died due to suicide by hanging himself, an investigation has also been ordered into allegations of professional rivalry. ALSO READ:
