Did You Know Ayushmann Khurrana's Mother-In-Law Is Part Of Ramayan That Is Being Shown On DD Right Now

The re-run of Ramayan has emerged to be fruitful as the mythological show is currently at the top spot of the TRP charts. Ever since the rerun of Ramayan on Doordarshan was announced, people were elated and overjoyed to see one of the iconic shows again on their TV screens. Not just the older generation, even the younger generation is taking an interest and seems to be liking this mythological show. They are now not only watching Ramayana but are understanding the heart and the essence of the characters and the story.

Apart from the story, each character in the show has gained iconic status and as we speak of that, we came across an interesting fact that we bet you didn't know about. Well, a report in Newsbaba, the rising star suggests that Ayushmann Khurrana has a connection with the iconic show, Ramayan. Wondering how? Well, Khurrana's mother-in-law played a very important role in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan. She essayed the role of Raavan's one of the trusted demonic members, named Trijata. The role was essayed by Anita Kashyap, Tahira Kashyap's mother.

The demonic ruler Trijata was Raavan's trusted person who initially was against Sita but then after spending time with her, she treated her like a daughter. After Sita Haran, if there was any hope for Sita living in Ashok Vatika, then it was Trijata who helped her multiple times in the story of Ramayan. Interesting, right?

Meanwhile, on Ayushmann's work front, the actor yet again scored big with his last release Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. He will be next seen in Gulabo Sitabo with Amitabh Bachchan. While there are reports floating that Khurrana will also be seen in Anubhav Sinha's Anek and Anubhuti Kashyap's Stree Rog Vibhag.
