Did You Know Ayushmann Khurrana Said Yes For Dream Girl In Just 10 Minutes?
Writer and director Raaj Shaandilya, who is best remembered for establishing a hit show like Comedy Circus, is all set to start shooting for the next schedule of his directorial debut Dream Girl. The film features Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha in lead roles.

The talented writer-director, who has written dialogues for films like Freaky Ali and Bhoomi, managed to convince Ayushmann Khurrana, who is one of the most sought-after actors in Bollywood, in just ten minutes.

A source close to the project informs, “After the success of Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho, Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the busiest actors in Bollywood. Producers are lining up for signing him. But when Raaj approached Ayushmann, he immediately agreed for the film. He just went through the script for ten minutes and said yes. Raaj is a brilliant writer and his comic timing is amazing. Khurrana was quite spell-bounded by the script.”

Some time back, the first look of Ayushmann from the film was unveiled. Sitting on a bike, Ayushmann is seen dressed in a yellow saree over a plain white tee and striking an unusual expression. Meanwhile, SpotboyE.com had exclusively revealed that comic actor Rajpal Yadav was also supposed to be a part of this film, but he lost out on this project due to his jail term. A well placed source on the film set told us, “Rajpal Yadav had a very important role in the movie. But due to his unavailability they have roped in Stree actor, Abhishek Banerjee to play his character.”

Dreamgirl is a quirky entertainer. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the comedy sees Khurrana play a small-town guy who bags the role of Sita in Ram-Leela, owing to his ability to speak in a female voice. It is slated to release theatrically on September 13, 2019.
