Ambani family is in a celebration mode as Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani got engaged in a star-studded engagement party in Mumbai on Thursday evening. While the ceremony saw the attendance of A-listers from the Bollywood fraternity in their usual best, however, it was Deepika Padukone who stole the show with her simple yet sensual outfit.
The 36-year-old actor sizzled in a red saree while she was joined by her husband Ranveer Singh who was smartly dressed in a blue sherwani as they posed for the paparazzi at the event.
During her appearance at the engagement ceremony, Deepika was dressed to the occasion in a fully embellished red ‘Dori embroidered’ saree by the designer label Torani official. There’s no denying, Deepika loves to flaunt her love for the six-yard wonders and her latest appearance at the event was no different. She tied her hair in a puffy bun and wore a statement diamond neckpiece to go with that bespoke organza silk saree.
Deepika’s red saree featured sequin work, chevron lace, hand embroidery, and hand adda work. The saree named ‘Sindoori Taashi Saari’ on the designer’s website costs a whooping Rs 1,49,500.
Well, the Pathaan actress is a pro when it comes to wearing traditional outfits. Looking at her pictures, Deepika appears to be in love with the red shade as is often seen donning the colour. Previously, for her wedding, she was seen in a red-coloured outfit and was styled by Sabyasachi.
Her first appearance at the Mumbai airport after the wedding was in a red brocade suit by the same designer.
Apart from Deepika, the engagement ceremony also saw the appearance of Neetu Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Gauri Khan-Aryan Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with Aaradhya, Janhvi Kapoor-Khushi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan-Natasha Dalal, and Salman Khan among others dressed up in their best for the event.
