Vijay Deverakonda is one such whose fan following has increased day by day. Vijay is adored by many especially girls. The south superstar is currently busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Liger’. He is promoting the film in all possible ways from attending events to interviews and doing collaborations with influencers. In a recent event, the latter made the shocking revelation about rejecting a Bollywood film.
Recently, in a press conference in Hyderabad, Vijay Deverakonda revealed that he was offered a Bollywood film by Karan Johar, but he rejected the same. The ‘World Famous Lover’ actor also mentioned that he wasn't ready for it. KJo had seen his film Arjuna Reddy and offered him a Bollywood project. Later, they approached the head honcho of Dharma Productions for Liger as it has a pan-India appeal. The ‘Geetha Govindam’ actor also mentioned that director-producer Karan Johar has supported them in every aspect. But the fans wonder, which film was offered to Vijay and he rejected it, as the same is unknown.

Interestingly, Karan Johar had previously bought the remake rights of Dear Comrade whopping amount of Rs 6 crore. Reportedly, he even approached Vijay, for playing the lead in the Hindi remake, but the Telugu actor turned down the offer. However, Karan had clarified at that time, that he didn’t approach any actors for the film.
Meanwhile, there were reports that ‘Liger’ is a remake of Anota starring Ravi Teja, but the 33-year-old actor dismissed the reports and stated that it is an original film and he would never do any remakes.
Talking about the film ‘Liger’, Vijay is an MMA fighter whose stage name is ‘Liger’. His character has difficulty in speaking and stammers. This film marks the Bollywood debut of not only Vijay Devarakonda but also legendary former American professional boxer Mike Tyson. This is a sports drama with a stellar cast including Vijay Devarakonda, Ananya Panday, and Ramya Krishnan. The magnum opus is directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Dharma Productions. The film is slated to release on August 25, 2022, pan India.
