South superstar Vijay Deverakonda’s pan-Indian film ‘Liger’ is one of the most anticipated films this year, and fans are eagerly waiting for the film. However, the makers have piqued everyone’s attention as they announced that legendary boxer Mike Tyson will lock horns with Vijay in this film! Karan Johar made a factual error while announcing the cameo appearance of the legendary boxer. Johar proudly announced, “For the first time ever, the king of the ring will be seen on the big screens of Indian cinema!”


Well, only true film buffs know this isn't Tyson’s first cameo appearance in an Indian film! However, looking at the teaser it could be his first memorable cameo in an Indian film.

Fun Fact, Mike Tyson made his first appearance in a Hindi movie, nearly 15 years ago. He had appeared as himself in the 2007 Hindi comedy caper Fool N Final. The film was the remake of the popular British movie Snatch. Directed by choreographer Ahmed Khan, Fool N Final starred Sunny Deol, Shahid Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Ayesha Takia, Sameera Reddy, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Om Puri and Sharmila Tagore among others.

The film featured Mike Tyson doing some shadow boxing and struggling to mouth a chorus of the title song of Fool N Final. He had also shot a promotional video for the movie.

Speaking of the film, Liger is presently being filmed in Goa and it is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Charmme Kaur.

Apart from Vijay Deverakonda and Mike Tyson, Ananya Pandey will play the female lead role in the movie. Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy will play notable roles in the movie.
