Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh were caught up in a war of words on Twitter, on Thursday. It all began when Kangana expressed her harsh views on the ongoing Farmer’s protest in Punjab, in tweets on social media. Ranaut’s comments didn’t go down well for many including Diljit Dosanjh, who reacted to the tweets. Their social media war eventually turned ugly. Later, Dosanjh made his last tweet for the day. Now, the singer-actor dropped a post after going silent for 18 hours.

On Twitter, the Good Newwz actor shared pictures of farmer’s from the protest, and wrote, “Rab Da Roop #farmerProtest #standwithfarmerschallange.” Sharing the pictures, Diljit called the old farmers ‘Rab Da Roop’, which means a form of God. Through his tweet, the singer requested his fans to stand with the farmers in protest. Diljit’s post features a picture of an old farmer sitting on a wooden bed in the middle of a road. The old farmer’s picture seems to be clicked from the protest in Punjab. Other picture shared by the actor features old women cooking meals for the farmers who are protesting. Dosanjh’s tweet comes after his mega spat with Kangana Ranaut on Twitter.

Meanwhile, in the past few days, many Bollywood celebrities, including actors from the Punjabi film industry have reacted and extended their support to the Farmers in Punjab, amidst the protest. Manikarnika actress Kangana Ranaut was one such actor who made tweets expressing her harsh views on the protest.
