Dil Bechara was one of the most highly anticipated films as it would mark Sushant Singh Rajput’s last screen outing. Fans were eagerly waiting for the film to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on July 24 and even celebrities such as Kartik Aaryan, Rajkummar Rao, Sara Ali Khan, and others invited fans to watch the film together when it releases on the OTT platform. Apart from Sushant Singh Rajput, the film also stars Sanjana Sanghi in the lead role, and features Saif Ali Khan in a cameo role. Now, while we await official figures, Dil Bechara is rumoured to have garnered 75 million views in just 18 hours!

Dil Bechara was made available for free viewing to subscribers as well as non-subscribers of Disney+ Hotstar as a tribute to Sushant. Paparazzo Viral Bhayani has shared speculative figures on his social media and mentioned that Dil Bechara was the biggest film for any OTT in history. “Hotstar has not released any official figures as far the number of views. The rumoured figure is around 75 million views in 18 hours. But yes this was the biggest film for any OTT in history. If they had run advertisements during the film - they would have easily made IPL kinda advertising revenues but they abstained from such thing. Will wait for the official figures of #SushantSingRajput #DilBechara,” read Viral Bhayani’s post.

While Disney+ Hotstar hasn’t released official figures yet, they did mention in one of their tweets that it was the biggest movie opening ever. “A film that will always be etched in the hearts of all Bollywood fans. Dil Bechara has received positive reviews from critics and viewers, and after its release, the film was said to have scored a 10/10 rating on IMDb. Since then, the rating has now fallen to 9.6 with 62,846 IMDb users having voted for the film.
