Veteran actor Dilip Kumar’s brother Aslam Khan passed away on August 21, about 11 days back. It was recently reported that the veteran actor’s brother Ehsaan Khan also left the world of the living. Dilip Kumar’s brothers’ Ehsaan Khan and Aslam Khan succumbed to COVID-19 at a Mumbai hospital after they contracted the deadly virus. Now, in an interview, Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu revealed that the veteran actor is not informed about the demise of his brothers Aslam Khan and Ehsaan Khan. Read On

In an interview with ETimes, after brother-in-law Ehsaan Khan’s demise, Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu revealed that the veteran actor has not been informed about his brothers’ Aslam Khan and Ehsaan Khan’s demise. She said, “To tell you the truth, Dilip saab has not been told that Aslam bhai and Ehsaan bhai are no more. We keep every kind of disturbing news away from him. We didn't even tell him when Amitabh Bachchan contracted COVID-19 and was admitted in Nanavati Hospital; he's very fond of Amitabh."

Saira Banu mentioned that the family keep all sorts of disturbing news away from Dilip Kumar and revealed that they didn’t even tell him about Amitabh Bachchan contracting COVID-19. The veteran actress mentioned that Dilip Saab is very fond of Big B and hence they did not inform him about the actor being admitted at Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital. Talking about Dilip Kumar’s health, Sara Banu mentioned he is confined. She said, “Well, he is confined. Quarantine as such is the first priority. But he has had a few changes in blood pressure due to dehydration recently and he's taking treatment."


Meanwhile, during the interview, Saira Banu mentioned that Dilip Kumar’s nephews Imran and Ayub carried out brother Ehsaan Khan’s last rites. Talking about Ehsaan Khan, Saira Banu shared that the family thought that he would pull through as he battled it out for more than 2 weeks. Dilip Kumar’s wife mentioned that late brother-in-law Ehsaan Khan’s vital parameters were stable including his oxygen level after he was admitted to the hospital, but suddenly his condition deteriorated further towards the night.
