Disha Patani's Post Against Racism BACKFIRES; Netizens Dig Out Actress' Fairness Cream Commercial, Call It 'Hypocrisy At Its Peak'
The internet can be a cruel place at times and who knows it better than our celebrities? Well, they are more than often trolled for almost everything; be it for sharing their opinions, raising their voice against the wrong or even posting a picture for that matter. Something similar recently happened with Disha Patani, who wanted to share an inspiring message but ended up getting slammed instead. Why so? Well, it all happened after the Bharat actress posted a picture of her promoting anti-racism but the netizens dug out something that ruined her purpose.

In the wake of the George Floyd tragedy, the entire social media is raging over the concept of racism against the black race, even in today's times. Just like many celebrities, Disha Patani, too, batted for anti-racism by sharing a picture with hands of all skin tones and its message read, "All colours are beautiful." While Disha's intentions were pure, she came at the receiving end of trolls for endorsing a fairness cream brand in the past. Many netizens shared screenshots of Disha posing with the product and slammed her for her hypocrisy.

A user trolled the actress by writing, "All colours are equal but still I will do racist fairness commercials which promises WHITE skin tone. #hypocrisy," while another one tweeted, "Hypocrisy at its best. First I will endorse face whitening product and then I will post against racism."

Check out Disha's tweet below:

Now, here are some reactions:

Well, this isn't the first Patani got roasted by the internet. In the past, the actress was schooled for wearing revealing clothes and editing her pictures. Sigh.
