Don 3: Comes With The Sequel And The Wait Is Finally Over, Farhan Akhtar To Work On The Script And Narrate To Shah Rukh Khan Soon
There are reports that Farhan Akhtar has started working on the script of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don 3
Farhan Akhtar has been trolled a lot for not updating fans on the progress on Don 3. Don 3 has also trended quite a lot on Twitter. Recently, the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor was trolled and funny memes were shared on Twitter regarding Don 3 when Amitabh Bachchan came to his rescue. SpotboyE reported the same story. But it seems that the wait is finally over for the third franchise of the magnum opus Don.
As per a report in Pinkvilla, Farhan has started working on the script of Don 3 and once the script is done, he’ll narrate it to Shah Rukh Khan. The team has come up with an idea to move forward with Don 3. The talented actor has discussed the idea with his father and ace lyricist Javed Akhtar who is the writer of the original film Don (1978).
A source was quoted saying, “Don is a subject close to everyone at Excel. The team has been trying to crack and develop an idea for Don 3 for a while now, but the same has been put on the back burner time and again due to lack of novelty factor. But the team has finally scummed upon an idea that's exciting and will take the franchise to the next level. Farhan has started writing the script, and will give narration to his Don aka SRK, once the screenplay is locked.”
The source added, “Like always, Don 3 is still in the early stages and the future of the project will definitely depend on what shape the screenplay finally takes, but yes, it's confirmed that Farhan has started work on Don 3 script. Unlike the last few attempts to make a part 3, the idea this time around is too exciting to let go off, and everyone around is giving more than 100 percent to this project.”
Farhan had directed and produced the Don: The Chase Begins Again (Don) in the 2006 remake of Don (1978) starring Big B. As a writer-director-producer, he has given major hits like Lakshya, Dil Dhadakne Do, Dil Chahta Hai, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Rock On, and Don 2 to name a few.
