Shah Rukh Khan announces his upcoming film 'Dunki' with Rajkumar Hirani
Shah Rukh Khan is back! On Tuesday, Shah Rukh Khan announced his upcoming film with Rajkumar Hirani. The film is titled 'Dunki' and will be released in December next year. The official announcement video once again proves that SRK has the best sense of humour. It begins with SRK standing in front of Rajkumar Hirani's previous film posters and talking of the iconic roles played by Sanjay Dutt and Aamir Khan in his films.
Hirani then joins SRK. The actor asks him whether he has any role for him, and he is beyond happy when the director says, 'I do have a script'. SRK then asks him whether the film has comedy, emotions and romance.
SRK then asks him the name of the film and the director says, 'Dunki'. Known for having a great sense of humour, SRK replies 'Donkey'. Hirani corrects him and says, "Donkey nahi Shah Rukh, Dunki." SRK then exits the frame saying, "Pata nahi kya bana raha hai ye, jo bhi hai, lelo lelo." King Khan shared the video and captioned it, "Dear @hirani.rajkumar sir, Aap toh mere Santa Claus nikle. Aap shuru karo main time pe pahunch jaunga. actually main toh set par hi rehne lagunga! Feeling humbled and excited to finally work with you. Bringing to you all #Dunki in cinemas on 22nd December 2023." The film also stars Taapsee Pannu. Reacting to it, a fan dropped a comment saying, "#kingkhan all the best." Another one commented, "Suprbb."
Talking about the film, SRK said in a statement, "Rajkumar Hirani is one of the finest filmmakers of this generation, we have always spoken about working together and I am extremely happy we are finally doing it with Dunki. We have just started shooting this month and I am cherishing every moment of it. Raju ke liye main Donkey, Monkey... kuch bhi ban sakta hoon."
