Durgamati Trailer: Anushka Shetty Fans Slam Bhumi Pednekar's Look; Say, 'No One Can Match Anushka's Screen Presence'

Fans of Anushka Shetty think that Bhumi Pednekar hasn't done justice to the former's performance in Durgamati, a remake of Anushka's film Bhaagamathie.

Earlier today, the trailer of Bhumi Pednekar's Durgamati, which is an official Hindi remake of Bhaagamathie, made it to the internet. Bhumi's never seen before avatar as a fierce Durgamati surely impressed a lot of people, however, the fans are Bhaagamathie star Anushka Shetty have to say otherwise. From a very long time, the South superstar has been trending on Twitter and as we checked the hashtag, it was majorly about her fans comparing Bhumi's look and performance to Anushka and slamming the former. As per them, Bhumi has failed to reach the standards that Anushka Shetty had set in terms of performance. A couple of fans also wrote how no one can match Anushka's screen presence.

A user wrote, "#BhumiPednekar Sorry to say this, you may be a good actor but you can't match the screen presence of our #LadySuperstar #AnushkaShetty. This scene has a separate fan base. @MsAnushkaShetty was just.  Anyways, all the best," while someone else added, "Just see these two pics what is missing. Another fan tweeted, "There's only one original.  There's only one powerful performer. The rest are just copycats. #AnushkaShetty."

Well, Bhumi also received a lot of appreciation for her act. A fan wrote, "#Durgamati trailer Looking Solid. @bhumipednekar is best as usual. All the best to #Durgamati team. Waiting for 11 December."

Durgamati has been produced by Akshay Kumar and will make it to Amazon Prime on December 11. It was earlier titled as Durgavati, however, the makers tweaked the film's name after a minor controversy.
