Sources say Sanjay Dutt will be out on furlough, yesterday
Sanjay Dutt is expected to be out of jail by today afternoon, exactly five days after his film PK hits the theatres.
The 55-year old actor who is serving sentence in Yerwada Jail (Pune) had applied for a furlough. Sources close to the actor say that the sanction in question has been granted to him.
SpotboyE.com also has it that a Mumbai based activist Pradeep Bhalekar has challenged the actor’s furlough alleging preferential treatment.
Dutt was supposed to get leave on November 12 . Certain formalities took longer than expected to complete.
Dutt has been out on two occasions since he was convicted in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case by the Supreme Court in March 2013. He was granted a month-long break to take care of his two kids (Shahraan, Iqra) in December last year when his wife Manyata was hospitalised. He also got a 30-day furlough on grounds of his own bad health in October that year.
