Sanjay Dutt, who came out of jail on a 14-day furlough closer to Christmas, had applied for an extension of two weeks.
No decision has been taken on the petition yet.
As things stand, the Munnabhai actor may have to surrender and return to Pune’s Yerwada Jail tomorrow.
The 55-year old actor returned home from prison on December 24 to spend time with his family. The father of three is serving a five-year jail term after being convicted in May 2013 for illegal possession of arms in connection with the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts.
