ED To Seize Expensive Gifts Worth Crores Given To Jacqueline Fernandez, Nora Fatehi By Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar-Report
As per the latest report, ED is likely to seize the expensive gifts given to Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi by conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar
Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi have been in the headlines for quite some time now owing to their alleged connection with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. According to reports, both the actresses had received luxury gifts from the conman while he was in jail. As per Enforcement Directorate (ED), these gifts include luxury cars, diamonds, pets and bags among other things, and were paid for using extorted money. Now, it is reported that ED will soon seize the gifts given to Fernandez and Nora by conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
According to a report in Etimes, ED sources revealed that the actress was given a few pet animals, and in such circumstances, they would have to attach the property of equivalent worth. Sukesh allegedly gave Jacqueline gifts worth Rs 10 crore and more between December 2020 and August 2021.
IANS quoted a highly placed source saying that Nora Fatehi told them during the questioning 'that the officials were free to seize the BMW car gifted to her by Sukesh Chandrashekhar'. Reportedly, Fernandez too told the same to the ED officials.
“Jacqueline told us that she didn't know the background of Sukesh Chandrashekhar and she was ready to cooperate with us in the process of seizing the gifts given to her by Sukesh,” the source added.
It is being said that section 5 of the PMLA shall be used to process the attachments. They were about to confiscate the gifts and other items handed to Jacqueline and Nora but since they had to file a charge sheet first, the process got stalled. Earlier, during his interrogation, multimillionaire Chandrashekhar had revealed that he had gifted Jacqueline a horse worth Rs. 52 lakh and a Persian cat worth Rs. 9 lakh. He gifted Nora a BMW car in December 2020.
Recently, India Today got access to exclusive chats between Sukesh Chandrashekhar and Nora Fatehi where they discussed the selection of a luxury car. One of their chats read, “Do you like this?” Sukesh Chandrashekhar asked Nora Fatehi about a Range Rover car. To this, she responded. “Yes, it’s a nice rough use car.
