Ekta Kapoor-Imran Khan Go Separate Ways...Again!

Just when we thought Ekta Kapoor and Imran Khan are ready to work with each other again, their plans have hit a roadblock.
SpotboyE.com has learnt that the TV czarina and the actor have parted ways on their ambitious period drama Milan Talkies.
Aah, so much for their recent patch-up, which Imran went public about with fanfare!
For those who've come in late, Ekta and Imran had a bitter fight after the failure of Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara. However, both Ekta and Imran were more than happy to kiss and make up. In fact, about their patch-up, he had recently said, "I really wish we had done it sooner. Tigmanshu's script is excellent, and it would be a shame for his film to suffer because of our disagreement. I'm really looking forward to the three of us working together."
So what went wrong? Sources close to the film have told us that Imran wanted an established star paired opposite him in Milan Talkies. We hear, he kept insisting that Priyanka Chopra, the original choice for the film, be brought back.
But was Priyanka game for Milan Talkies after so many years? Who knows!
And who did director Tigmanshu Dhulia bat for? Bhoomi Pednekar!
Tigmanshu even got Nikhil Advani (who Imran was working with in Katti Batti) to persuade Imran about the Dum Lagaa Ke Haisha actress. However, the actor was reluctant and Balaji had no choice but to let him go.
Last heard, Ayushmann Khurrana has stepped into Imran's shoes.
Despite repeated attempts, Imran and Tigmanshu remained unavailable for comment.
