Ekta Kapoor Shelves Milan Talkies
SpotboyE was the first to report that Imran Khan has had a fallout with Ekta Kapoor for the second time owing to cast and remuneration-related issues. The producer then decided to get Ayushmann Khuranna and Bhumi Pednekar for the part-but things haven't worked out with them either (Ekta Kapoor-Imran Khan go separate ways... Again!, Sep 7).

A source close to Ekta has told us that she isn't interested in the project anymore. "The same has been conveyed to Tigmanshu Dhulia who may or may not make it with a different studio. As of now, Milan Talkies doesn't feature in Balaji's slate of 2016-2017. It is a closed chapter."
As of now, Ekta is pegging her bets on the Azhar biopic starring Emraan Hashmi and Udta Punjab that stars Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
