Kangana Ranaut is all set to enthrall fans with her upcoming biopic ‘Emergency' which is based on the first woman Prime Minister of India- Indira Gandhi. The actress plays the role of Indira Gandhi in the same and has left no stone unturned to get into the skin of this powerful character. On Thursday, Ranaut shared her first look along with the small teaser of the film. And, the actress has left everyone mighty impressed with her brilliant portrayal of Indira Gandhi.
Taking to her Instagram handle, the Queen actress shared her impressive first look and wrote, “Presenting #EmergencyFirstLook! Portraying one of the most powerful and controversial women in the history of the world…#Emergency shoot begins.” In the poster, she looks very promising as she bears an uncanny resemblance to the PM. In the clip, Ranaut is heard saying, “Tell American President that everyone calls me sir in the office, not madam.” Be it her look, voice, or mannerism, one can clearly see a glimpse of Indira Gandhi in her. Soon after she dropped the first look, fans took the comments section of the post to shower praise on Kangana. Many users hailed her calling her performance ‘outstanding.’
‘Emergency’ is Kangana Ranaut’s second biopic in her career after 'Thalaivii' where she played Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalitha.
The upcoming movie is produced under the banner of her production house Manikarnika Films. To achieve the required look in Emergency, Ranaut has roped in Oscar-winning makeup artist David Malinowski and it won’t be wrong to say he has done a great job.
