Filmmaker and actor Farhan Akhtar had taken social media by storm when he announced that Ranveer Singh will be headlining the third installment of the Don franchise. While fans had expressed their disappointment over the 38-year-old actor replacing Shah Rukh Khan, many were even excited to know what the upcoming movie will have in store for them. Ever since the initial announcement, the chatter surrounding the leading lady and villain of the film has started.
Recently there have been rumours about the makers of Don 3 being in talks with Emraan Hashmi for the antagonists’ role. While the makers are yet to make an official announcement, fans are eagerly waiting to know if there is a truth to the speculation. Amid it all, on Wednesday evening, he was spotted at Excel Entertainment’s office in Mumbai. For the unversed, the production house was founded by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, the producers of Don 3. The 44-year-old actor was seen exiting from his navy blue Mercedes-Maybach before posing for the paparazzi. He gave them a smile and a thumbs up when they referred to him as Don 3 Villain. Netizens were quick to take to the comment section of the post to flood it with red heart and fire emojis. They showered him with love and admiration by expressing their excitement on him being a part of the movie. Talking about the film’s franchise, a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Don (1987), Farhan Akhtar directorial Don: The Chase Begins Again (2006) was loved by the audience. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles, the sequel of the first movie, Don 2: The King Is Back, was released in 2011. Now that Ranveer has replace SRK and become the third Don, the audience is eagerly waiting for more announcements about the upcoming movie.
On the work front, Emraan Hashmi was last seen in Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3. He essayed the role of the antagonist which was loved by the fans.
