South actress Rashmika Mandanna is actively preparing for numerous upcoming projects. Following her impactful role in the Bollywood film Animal directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, she is set to grace the screens in multiple Hindi films. In an exclusive conversation with Zoom, the Goodbye actress addressed the criticisms surrounding the controversial movie, acknowledging concerns about the film's approach and its perceived promotion of partner violence and toxic masculinity. Addressing the backlash against the Blockbuster hit, the Geetha Govindam actress acknowledged the criticism for allegedly normalizing toxic masculinity and relationship abuse. In response, Rashmika expressed that the audience is entitled to their opinions and emphasized that actors are merely portraying their roles. In response to the collective criticism faced by the characters portrayed by Ranbir and herself on social media, the 27-year-old explained, "When you examine Ranvijay's character, he holds immense respect for his wife and family. However, driven by a desire to protect his father, he goes to great lengths and ends up becoming a villain in his own narrative. It's not someone else inflicting these actions upon him; he is willingly engaging in negative actions. In this way, we're all caught up in this crossfire."
