The mother-daughter duo had signed The Lunchbox director Ritesh Batra for a film, which has now been shelved.
A source says, "Hemaji and Esha were in talks with several filmmakers to kickstart their production company with a small budget entertainer. A few weeks ago, they inked a contract with Batra. "
Adds the source, "Batra and Esha developed creative differences."
