Nitesh Tiwari has expressed his grief over the untimely death of Suhani Bhatnagar, who essayed the role of young Babita Phogat, in Aamir Khan starrer Dangal
Actress Suhani Bhatnagar, who received love and adoration from critics and audiences for her portrayal of a young Babita Phogat in the movie Dangal, breathed her last on February 17, Saturday morning. Netizens have been left in shock ever since the news has made headlines. Condolences towards the 19-year-old actress’ parents have been pouring in on social media. Now, the director of the 2016 movie, Nitesh Tiwari has expressed his grief and conveyed his condolences.
Through a statement, the 51-year-old filmmaker reacted to the heartbreaking news. He recalled her to be a happy soul and conveyed his condolences to her grieving family. Tiwari told SpotboyE, “Suhani’s passing away is absolutely shocking and heartbreaking. She was such a happy soul, so full of life. My deepest condolences to her family.” Fans of the young star have also taken to social media to convey their condolences. As reported by Zee News, Suhani was undergoing treatment at the AIIMS after fracturing her leg a few days ago. However, due to a reaction to the medication she was consuming she suffered from fluid accumulation in her body. This led to her untimely demise at the age of 19. Bhatnagar’s parents have been left devastated due to their daughter’s death. They have yet to release an official statement about Suhani’s passing. As per a report by NDTV, she will be cremated at the Ajronda crematorium in Sector 15, Faridabad.
Talking about Dangal, the Nitesh Tiwari directorial also starred Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim, Aparshakti Khurana, and Ritvik Sahore in pivotal roles. Released in 2016, the biographical sports drama was based on the life of Mahavir Singh Phogat and his fight against society to make his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari India's first world-class female wrestlers.
