Actor Shikha Malhotra, who has worked in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Fan has suffered a stroke, according to the latest reports. Malhotra suffered a stroke on Thursday. It has left her paralysed on one side. A report stated that she is admitted to Mumbai’s Cooper hospital. Shikha Malhotra is an actress and costume designer. She was last seen in the 2020 film Kaanchli Life in a Slough. The actress has featured in films like The Unsee, The World Unseen, Running Shaadi, and Fan. She has also been working as a frontline warrior during COVID-19.
Speaking with Indianexpress.com, Shikha Malhotra’s publicist, Ashwani Shukla revealed that the actress is currently admitted to Cooper Hospital. He mentioned she is doing better. Shukla revealed that Malhotra was facing health issues after she had recovered from COVID-19. The publicist shared that after Malhotra’s recovery back in October, it was her low sugar level that was causing her health issues. He then mentioned that late on Thursday night, Shikha suffered a major stroke.
Shikha Malhotra’s publicist revealed that the actress was rushed to the hospital after the stroke. He mentioned that as of now, the actress cannot speak. Shukla also shared that her right side is paralysed. Ashwani Shukla added, “The doctors have said that she will have to stay in the hospital for a few days. However, she is showing improvement.” Shikha’s publicist mentioned that there is an improvement in her health and that she will stay in the hospital for a few days.
