Farah Khan Once Opened Up About Karisma Kapoor- Raveena Tandon's Nasty Catfight: 'They Were Hitting Each Other With Their Wigs'
Farah Khan once revealed that she witnessed a nasty catfight between Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor. She recalled the fight and shared a few details on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan
Catfights in the Bollywood industry were very much common back in 80s-90s, the actresses’ fallouts on the movie sets used to be like hot selling cake for the entertainment publications then. One such catfight which remained in news for a good amount of time was between Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon. They did not exchange a word during the shoot of Andaz Apna Apna. Filmmaker Farah Khan revealed this hot catfight as she sipped piping hot coffee on Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan in the year 2007. Farah revealed of these divas’ kiddish fight on the sets of their movie, Aatish.
The filmmaker back then who had began her career as a choreographer was signed in for a song, when she saw them hitting each other with their wigs, stamping each other’s foot and so on. This revelation was made when KJo asked Farah Khan to share about the worst fight she had seen in the industry between the actresses. Taking Raveena and Karisma’s name she said, “I was once doing a song with Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon, long ago, in a film called Aatish. They were both having some kind of teenage spat. They were hitting each other with their wigs.”
Continuing further she added, “They were wearing these wigs with plaits and beads in it. One was hitting, the other was stamping her foot with her heel. It was quite childish. I am sure they will laugh about it now.” Though both the actresses have now mended the bridge and are on talking terms.
Raveena during an interview with IANS had revealed how Andaz Apna Apna director Rajkumar Santoshi, refused to let them go unless they talked to each other while shooting the climax scene of the movie. She said, “The boys (Salman Khan and Aamir Khan) tried to bring Karisma and me together. In fact, in the climax, there’s a scene where Karishma and I are tied to a pillar. In an interview with HT in the year 2012, Raveena said, “Since our girls go to the same school, we end up bumping into each other and have bonded well.
