Farhan Akhtar Has The Best Reaction To Trolls comparing His singing to ‘croaking frog’
Farhan Akhtar made an appearance on Arbaaz Khan’s chat show, Pinch season 2. As per the show’s format, Arbaaz was seen pinching Farhan with questions about the criticism and trolls.
The latest episode of Arbaaz Khan’s chat show, Pinch season 2 will witness Farhan Akhtar making an appearance. According to the show’s format, Arbaaz will be seen pinching Farhan with questions about the criticism and trolls he has received from the social media users.
Gracing the couch, Farhan spoke of the struggles and criticism he has faced. He also responded to a troll calling him a ‘flop hero’ and another asking him to come out of his ‘Rock On mode’.
Reflecting upon the comments, Farhan said, “It’s like telling Jaggu dada to come out of his ‘Bhidu’ mode, you can’t tell him to do that, that’s who he is.”
Later the show also saw Arbaaz reading out mean comments about Farhan’s singing. The Rock On! actor took each and every pinch very sportingly and had the best reaction for his trolls. Arbaaz pointed out one troll that compared him to ‘thousand croaking frogs’.
Farhan laughed it out and said, “This is a part of my social service extension. I want people to stay and home and listen to me.”
“Be it the songs of Rock On, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Atrangi Yaari, which I got to do with Mr (Amitabh) Bachchan, all the songs have done well. But, of course, I totally understand one thing, which is that it is not a conventional playback singer’s voice,” Farhan replied.
Farhan also pointed out he does not sing for others and ‘because (he is) not a playback singer’. He sings only when he feels that it will lend a ‘believability’ to his performance. He also added, “I absolutely enjoy it, I am not apologetic about it at all.”
Furthermore, Arbaaz also discussed the possibility of Farhan making Don 3 since people keep bringing up the topic and have been waiting for it.
Farhan laughed and mentioned that they talk about Don 3 in condolence tweets. “When I’m writing deepest condolences, someone says, ‘let that go, when are you making Don 3?’ They can’t even give respect that someone has passed away, at least leave that tweet alone.”
He also mentioned getting abuses with the request for Don 3, which leaves him perplexed.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Farhan will be seen directing a road-trip film which stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. Apart from directing, Akhtar will also be producing and co-writing the film along with sister Zoya Akhtar, Reema Lagti and Ritesh Sidhwani (the latter only being a producer). Many fans would have expected Akhtar to make a return to direction with Don 3 but that might have to wait longer.
