Farhan Akhtar-Shibani Dandekar are all set to tie the knot. The couple's pre-wedding festivities have begun. The 'IT' couple kicked off their wedding festivies with the mehendi ceremony on Thursday. It took place at Farhan's home and the function was attended by the bride-to-be's sister Anusha Dandekar, Shabana Azmi, Rhea Chakraborty among others. Several photos and videos from their mehendi ceremony are going viral on social media.
Anusha and Rhea performed on 'Mehendi Laga Ke Rakhna' song from Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. They can be seen having fun to the fullest.
For the occasion, Shibani wore a yellow frilled saree and looked beyond beautiful. She kept her hair loose and also wore a maangtika. On the other hand, Rhea was dressed in a yellow outfit and looked stunning. She accessorised her look with jewellery and kept her hair loose. The wedding will reportedly take place in a traditional Maharashtrian way at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi's Khandala farmhouse tomorrow. On February 21, they will get married in a civil ceremony.
Earlier this week, Farhan had shared a picture from his bachelor party. He posed with his close pals. The groom-to-be captioned it as, "The boys are back in town. #stagdaynightfever." Shibani dropped a comment saying, "Umm.... technically I am there too."
Farhan and Shibani have been dating each other for quite some time now. Farhan was previously married to Adhuna Bhabani. The former couple got divorced in 2017. They have two daughters together - Shakya and Akira.
