A host of Bollywood celebrities, cricketers, and other famous personalities came out in support of the farmers amid the farmers’ protests in North India. The farmers have been voicing their concerns against the new farm laws, and celebrities such as Diljit Dosanjh, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Sonu Sood and others have extended their support to them. The farmers have been receiving aid from several organizations, and recently a video of ‘pizza langar’ at the protest site went viral on social media.

This was met with both- praises for the noble acts, as well as harsh criticism from a section of society for the lavish aid that was provided to farmers. Diljit Dosanjh has now taken a dig at those who criticized the farmers for having pizza at the protest site. Diljit questioned how farmers eating pizza instantly became news, while farmers consuming poison was never a concern. He shared a post that read, “Farmers consuming poison was never a concern but farmers eating pizza is news.”

Diljit Dosanjh engaged in a mega spat with Kangana Ranaut onTwitter a few days back over the farmers’ protest. He was also seen joining the farmers’ protest at the Singhu border and his speech went viral. In his speech, he took a sly dig at Kangana Ranaut and said, “Hindi main bhi bol raha hun phir badh me Google na karna pade (I am also speaking in Hindi so that one need not Google what I am saying again).”
