Deepika Padukone has been bestowed with the honour of unveiling the FIFA World Cup trophy during the finals
FIFA World Cup 2022 is one of the most-watched sporting events in the world of football. Celebrities from all corners of the world were seen performing at the global event that is being hosted in Qatar this year. Global icon Deepika Padukone, who has represented India on an international level through movies, fashion events, and the Cannes Film Festival, is all set to unveil the World Cup trophy.
If reports are to be believed, the actress will be flying to Qatar to unveil the World Cup trophy at the jam-packed Lusail Iconic Stadium on December 18. Being an advocate for mental health alongside having a successful career as an actor, producer, and now entrepreneur, Deepika has represented India during many such ceremonies. Not only was she a jury member at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, she was also the only Indian on the list of the world’s top 10 most beautiful women according to the ‘Golden Ratio of Beauty’.
Talking about being an entrepreneur, the 36-year-old actress recently launched her self-care brand 82°E, also known as Eighty-Two East. During a media interaction, while sharing an insight on the process of creating the brand, she said, "Wherever I am in the world, practising simple acts of self-care consistently, helps me stay grounded and enables me to feel my most centred. On the work front, Deepika will be next seen Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback movie Pathaan, which also stars John Abraham in lead role. She will be seen in Project K alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani. She also has a special cameo in Ranveer Singh’s upcoming movie Cirkus which is directed by Rohit Shetty.
