Known for directing and producing comedy movies during the 90s and early 2000s, Bollywood filmmaker David Dhawan’s movies are till date enjoyed by movie fanatics. While he has had a good and inspiring career, he has been facing health issues for the past two years. Now India Today has reported that the veteran had to go through an angioplasty.
The report states that he hasn't been doing well for the past few years because of diabetes. A few weeks ago, the director had undergone the surgery at the HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai. As per the report, a stent has been implanted. He is currently resting and recuperating. It is further stated that he is doing much better now and the 71-year-old director is strictly following all the do’s and don’ts. ALSO READ: RELIEVED! According to the source quoted by the media publication, his family was very worried during the phase his heart problem began. The source said, “Mrs Lali Dhawan, Varun and Rohit were very worried during the phase that his heart problem began, but everything is fine now. Over the years, Dhawan has directed many iconic movies like Partner, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Coolie No 1. His last project was the remake of Coolie No 1 starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan. Released on Amazon Prime Video in 2020, the movie became a meme material as it was brutally trolled by the netizens.
On the work Front, Varun Dhawan was last seen in the supernatural-comedy movie Bhediya. He recently announced that the sequel of the movie is in the making and will be released in 2025. The movie also starred Kriti Sanon, Deepak Dobriyal and Abhishek Bannerjee in pivotal roles.
