On Friday, we told you about Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput becoming proud parents to a baby girl (Shahid Kapoor Is The Proud Papa Of A Baby Girl, Aug 26)
Dressed in casuals and a cap, Shahid safely carried the baby from the hospital to his car. He ensured that he held his new born close to his chest to avoid media frenzy. Needless to say, the paps couldn’t get a glimpse of the baby and had to settle with shots of the father-daughter duo.
Mira was admitted to the Hinduja Healthcare Surgical in Khar (West) on August 24 and delivered a baby girl on August 26. Shahid’s father Pankaj Kapur, Supriya Pathak and sister Sanah Kapoor were the first ones to visit the hospital (See Which Actor Visited Newly-Turned Parents Shahid-Mira At The Hospital, Aug).
As soon as news about Shahid becoming a father spread, several B-Town celebs including Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Ayushmann Khurrana, Aditi Rao Hydari among others took to social media to congratulate the couple.
Shahid and Mira tied the knot in July 2015 and rumours about Mira’s pregnancy began doing the rounds in February this year. It was at the trailer launch of Udta Punjab in April that Shahid confirmed the news with an ecstatic declaration, “Haan, main baap bannewala hoon!”
