Recently, Will Smith shocked everyone when he walked up on stage at the Oscars and slapped Chris Rock. It so happened that Chris cracked a joke about Will's wife Jada Pinkett's hair. It didn't go down well with Will who smacked Chris and screamed, 'Keep my wife's name out of your f***king mouth.' Since then, many celebrities reacted to Will-Chris' slap controversy.
A day after slapping Chris, Will issued an apology to the comedian. He released a statement on Instagram and stated that behaviour was 'unacceptable and inexcusable.' The 'King Richard' actor also mentioned that Chris' 'joke about Jada's medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally.' In the past, Gauahar Khan, who is one of the most popular actresses in the industry, had a breakdown when she was slapped by a man from the audience while shooting for a show. He did so because she was wearing a short dress. The man was later booked for molestation and assault charges.
Amrita Rao was once slapped by fellow actor Esha Deol. In an interview with TOI, Esha had revealed, "Yes, I slapped Amrita. One day after pack-up, she abused me in front of my director, Indra Kumar and my cameraman and I thought that was totally out of line. To protect my self-respect and dignity, in the heat of the moment, I slapped her. I have no regrets because she totally deserved it for her behaviour towards me at that point of time. I just stood up for myself and my dignity."
