The comedy-drama Fukrey which left the audience rolling on the floor laughing is ready with its third installment. Actor Varun Sharma shared the news on his Instagram handle with a clap of ‘Fukrey 3’ announcing that the shooting of the film has begun, but here is a catch. Actor Ali Fazal, who was among the fourth name in the film has opted from Fukrey 3. Yes, you read that right!

As per a report in Mid-Day, Ali Fazal will no longer be part of a third franchise because of his tight-packed schedule. Ali has given the dates to Vishal Bhardwaj’s Khufiya and thus was left with no option but to drop Mrighdeep Singh Lamba’s directorial Fukrey 3.

At the start of February, Ali was busy shooting for Kandahar and after that, he started with the promotions of his Hollywood flick ‘Death on the Nile’. Sources closed to the actor shared, “Ali was busy till early February with the shoot of Kandahar, and promotions of Death on the Nile. Ali being one of the main characters in the film, the makers have decided that they won’t replace his role with any other star, but the plot will be twisted according to the story.

The shooting for the third part was supposed to start much earlier but due to the sudden rise in Covid-19 situations, the shoot got delayed. The source added, "Meanwhile, Mrighdeep got the combination dates of Richa, Pankaj Tripathi, Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, and Manjot Singh, and is eager to roll Fukrey 3. It’s an unfortunate turn of events, but Ali won’t be a part of it as he is busy with the thriller till March-end.”

Bankrolled by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, the movie also stars Richa Chadha, Manjot Singh, Pankaj Tripathi, Varun Sharma, and Pulkit Samrat.
