Music director-singer Ankit Tiwari is shell shocked. Little did he know that his song Dil Darbadar from PK will not see the light of day in the publicity campaign of PK. The film slated to hit the theatres on December 19 has seven songs, five by Shantanu Moitra and one each by Ankit Tiwari and Ajay Atul.
The story goes that the other music director of the film Shantanu Moitra got upset when Vidhu Vinod Chopra bought a song from Ankit Tiwari. The duo pacified Moitra. But later somehow Moitra prevailed upon them to not release Ankit's song on video before the film's release.
So while we can see all the compositions of Moitra and even the one by Ajay Atul, Ankit Tiwari is sulking big time.
A source close to the film says, "Ankit is fine. The idea to keep Ankit's song away from the visuals is just a marketing strategy."
However, a friend of Ankit confirmed the story, saying, "Ankit has been given a raw deal, courtesy Moitra."
